1. EL CORAZÓN CULTURAL CENTER
Taller Puertorriqueño
El Corazón Cultural del Barrio, or The Cultural Heart of Latino Philadelphia, is the home of Taller Puertorriqueño, a nonprofit organization that uses art to promote development within its community. The 2016 opening of the 24,000+ square foot center solidifies Taller’s position as Pennsylvania’s largest Latino arts organization.

2. MAKEN STUDIOS
Shift Capital + Impact Services Corporation
Developed by Shift Capital, MaKen Studios provides rentable space, support, and resources to the Philadelphia creative and business community. Shift Capital partnered with Impact Services to launch the Kensington Storefront Challenge. This partnership was designed to bring community engagement and consumer activity back to the commercial corridor by lowering the typical barriers to entry for starting or expanding a business.

3. CHERRY STREET PIER
Delaware River Waterfront Corporation
Cherry Street Pier will be a 55,000-square foot mixed-use, indoor/outdoor public space equipped with a market, workspaces, venue, and park. The goal of the development is to provide a collaborative home for artists and entrepreneurs, facilitate meaningful civic engagement, demonstrate how civic assets can support and tap into the entrepreneurial energy, and be equitably shared by residents and visitors.

4. MIFFLIN SQUARE
SEAMAAC
Mifflin Square Park is at the center of one of the most diverse neighborhoods in Philadelphia. SEAMAAC is leading the transformation to be an inclusive space with a marketplace for the nearby residents and business owners who speak a combined 21 languages. The park is a key neighborhood asset and the revitalization efforts will create a safe space for the community to convene and establish licensed businesses.

5.NEW MARKET WEST
Mission First Housing Group
New Market West development is a four story, LEED certified 90,000-square foot commercial building that will create a hub for retail and community services in West Philadelphia. The goal of the development is to reverse disinvestment along Market Street corridor; bring high quality childcare, healthcare and retail; add and retain over 300 jobs in a low income community and support businesses.
